Easter Family Fun Day: Sunday, March 28, 2:00-3:30pm

In 2019, a fire in the 7:24 Shelter caused the camp to cancel  Easter Family Fun Day; in 2020, it was COVID-19. The camp is excited, and ready, to help families prepare for Holy Week with this special day in 2021!

Come out to camp for Easter Egg Hunts, ziplining, having fun on the Jumping Pillow, or taking a spin around the Pedal Kart Track. There will be bunnies provided by Lambert  Rabbitry and our own animals in the Petting Barn. It’s the first big event we have had in over a year! The Barrel Train will also be running during our special day.

As in the past, there will be three Easter Egg Hunts. The hunts are set up by age group and will begin at 2:30, when we hold the first hunt with our pre-school age and younger guests. At 2:55 the hunt will be for those up to 6th grade (younger hunters are allowed, but parents be careful that you are making sure your young child is safe from excited older kids!) The last Easter Egg Hunt is for all ages and it will begin at 3:25pm.

All Easter Egg Hunts will have instructions given at the 7:24 Shelter and then all participants will move to the hunt site.

If you would like to volunteer, please contact Jane Van Horn at 402-278-0526 (texting is fine) or jvanhorn@greatplainsumc.org. Volunteers are needed to watch the Jumping Pillow and Pedal Karts, and to help with the zipline.

Don’t forget to bring an Easter basket or sack for the eggs!
