So much is going on, you don’t want to miss out!

Summer camp is over. The lost and found items are being gathered together; all of the sleeping areas have been cleaned; a lot of the summer camp toys have been put away; the pool has been closed for the season. You would think it would be a time for the camp staff and volunteers to take a big breath and kick their feet up. BUT NO! It is time to get ready for SEPTEMBER 18, our annual BBQ, live & silent auctions and the opening of our newly named corn maze and pumpkin patch.

We want you to come visit us on the 18th and see what has been going on at Camp Fontanelle. The construction process for the Olson Lodge is moving right a long and the December completion date is still on track. You will have the chance to see the progress of the new lodge, with tours, on September18th.

The meal at Riverview Lodge is taking on a new look this year with a sit down dinner of a fresh salad, smoked pork loin, cheesy au gratin potatoes, green beans and a yummy apple pie cheesecake. Add a fresh roll and what more could you ask. The meal will be served at 12:00 noon an 1:00pm. Ticket are purchased in advance. There a limited number of tickets. The concession stand, as well as the Grilling Station will be available for other food items.

PURCHASE MEAL TICKETS HERE!!

There will be a cornhole tournament for adults and kids/youth. Registration is $40.00 for an adult team and $20.00 for kid/youth. Get your throwing arm in shape and look for more information about getting registered in the near future.

Quilts have begun to arrive to the camp for the live quilt auction, which will start at 2:00pm on the 18th. Soon, you will be able to view the quilts online and decided how much you will donate to Camp Fontanelle through winning the bid on one, or two, or three or more quilts.

Our silent auction has some great donations coming in. There are many free entrance tickets. Win the bid on one of these (Omaha Zoo, Durham Museum, Lauritzen Gardens, Maverick Hockey tickets, Vala’s Pumpkin Patch) and your donation to Camp Fontanelle will #1 give you a great feeling as you become an integral part of the mission of Camp Fontanelle, #2 you will be able to spend time with family/friends with your winning item.

It is also the opening day for our Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch. Renamed Split Oak Hollow, the new name honors our split oak tree that was a seedling in 1846. Add the historical cemetery and other historical stories of the area, we are excited to see how the corn maze area is going to evolve with a feel of the late 1800’s. Visit the corn maze website for additional information. https://splitoakhollow.org/

You DON’T WANT TO MISS OUT! Put September 18th on your calendar;  purchase your tickets for the sit down meal; plan your budget for the silent and live auctions; get excited and spread the word! Wouldn’t it be great to have a ‘full house’ out at camp, as we joyfully celebrate the ministry at Camp Fontanelle, while have a lot of fun and raising A LOT of money!!!
